Juicy Couture Debuts Intimate Apparel Store in Las Vegas
July 01, 2009
Juicy Couture, a division of New York-based Liz Claiborne Inc., has opened an intimate apparel store in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the first of many single-category standalone stores to come, reports WWD.com. Opened June 26, the new boutique, Love G&P, covers 2,200 sq. ft., and has a “feminine and soft” aesthetic, according to Philip Johnson, the vice president of creative services at Juicy Couture. The cream- and pink-colored store features antique mirrors, built-in French armoires, a fragrance bar and candles. “It definitely feels like a feminine, old-school women’s foundation department,” Johnson said. Juicy Couture is also contemplating single-category stores in children’s apparel and accessories. “There is potential for other freestanding concepts,” said Beth Cohn, the company’s vice president of retail. “We have such a wide product range from women’s to kids to accessories that being able to fit the whole breadth in a store can be challenging.” Juicy Couture plans to open three more traditional stores this year in California and in Alabama, as well as its 27th international store in London this July.
